Young Person's Feedback
Danielle came to us at a very low point in her life.
After losing her mum, her rock, her world really turned upside down. This led to repeated admissions to hospital and putting herself at risk.
Our trauma focused model helped her process these overwhelming emotions , build regulation tools and regain her strength and reach her full potential.
Letter from a Young Person
To Oakfield, Thank you so much for everything.
There has been many times where I have wanted to give up but you keep me here. I am so grateful for all those times. I am writing this because it’s so hard to put into words. But you really have saved my life. If my mum had met any of you all she would be so thankful. All she ever wanted was the best for me and you have given me that and beyond. So I would like to say ‘thank you’ on behalf of my mum as well. Every time I am with you all my worries fade away. Time has changed so much for me in the better because I have found you all. I hope it’s alright I call you all my family, because that is what you are to me.
When I woke up this Christmas I really couldn’t care about the presents. I was just happy to be out of hospital and be with people I love. I really couldn’t do any of it without you all – driving me to my nan’s, buying food for her, making the house feel like home, not giving up on me after all the stuff I put you through.
I really am grateful for it all. You have created memories that I will never forget. I love you all so much.
Thank you
Young Person

To achieve this shows significant progress.”
