Oakfield Psychological Services

Oakfield Psychological Services is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business operations. As a specialist healthcare provider, we recognise our responsibility to uphold the highest ethical standards, protect vulnerable individuals, and promote a safe, transparent, and respectful working environment.

Our Commitment

We are fully committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our relationships, ensuring that modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking have no place within our organisation or supply chains. We expect the same high standards from all employees, contractors, suppliers, and partner organisations.

Our Organisation

Oakfield Psychological Services provides specialist psychological and healthcare services to children and young people with complex needs. We operate within regulated frameworks and uphold strict safeguarding standards across all areas of our work. Our workforce is directly employed, fully vetted, and supported through ongoing supervision and training.

Policies and Procedures

To minimise the risk of modern slavery, we have the following measures in place:

  • Safer Recruitment Procedures including identity checks, right-to-work verification, qualification checks, and enhanced DBS screening.
  • Safeguarding Policies that ensure concerns about exploitation or abuse are escalated and acted upon promptly.
  • Whistleblowing Policy that allows staff to raise concerns in confidence and without fear of retaliation.
  • Code of Conduct outlining the expected standards of ethical behaviour for all employees and contractors.
  • Supplier Standards requiring all suppliers to operate with full compliance to the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Supply Chains

Our supply chains primarily include professional services, training providers, IT support, and essential clinical and operational resources. We work only with reputable suppliers who can demonstrate compliance with UK legislation, ethical employment practices, and anti-slavery standards.

Training and Awareness

We ensure staff are aware of the indicators of exploitation and understand how to report concerns. Key staff in recruitment, safeguarding, and management complete relevant training to recognise the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking.

Ongoing Review

We monitor our policies and supplier relationships regularly to ensure continued compliance and improvement. We remain committed to strengthening our approach and identifying new ways to prevent exploitation within our sector.
