Working within the NHS

Oakfield provides specialist emotional wellbeing support for looked after children and young people.

Our team offers safe, consistent spaces where children can explore feelings, build emotional regulation skills, improve self-esteem and develop healthy coping tools. We understand the impact of instability, trauma and change, and support young people in strengthening resilience and understanding their own emotional responses.

We also work collaboratively with carers, schools, social care and NHS partners to ensure regulation strategies and supportive approaches are reinforced across daily environments. This helps create a sense of stability and increases children’s confidence in managing difficult emotions.
