Working within the NHS

Living with epilepsy can create anxiety around unpredictability and independence.

Oakfield supports children and young people to build confidence, understand their feelings and develop coping tools for worries about seizures, embarrassment, safety concerns or lifestyle limitations. We help them strengthen emotional resilience and maintain engagement in daily activities wherever possible.

By working within epilepsy clinics, we ensure emotional wellbeing support is fully aligned with the young person’s medical journey.

Service feedback:

“My son looks forward to his sessions and is happy to see them each week.”

“I’ve noticed positive changes in my child’s thoughts, feelings and behaviour since starting support with Oakfield.”
