Making a Difference
Spend a lot of time with young people who can be quite complex and challenging at times. But the bonds you form with them and the difference you can make is so rewarding. You can actually see the difference day to day which has given me so much confidence.
A Great Job if you Really want to make a difference
In the year I’ve worked at Oakfield’s I’ve learnt so much. I feel like I’ve really made a difference to the young people I work with. The regular training offered has grown my confidence, and equipped me with the tools needed to bring about positive changes to the young people.
Within the unit that I work, I’ve met so many brilliant people. All from a variety of backgrounds and professions who are all incredibly supportive of each-other. I’ve definitely made some friends for life during my time here.
I have a great professional relationship with management and feel supported and inspired within my job role. I’m really excited to see how the company grows and develops over the next few years.
Good team
good team. from first week psychology team took me under their wing and showed me everything needed to know. able to ask lots of questions. sat down and able to talk about what helps me and what i’m looking for out of job / how to support. made a big difference. really made me feel welcome and built my confidence up. not felt that in other jobs i’ve worked in. ongoing training in job even through covid. couldn’t fault.
Rewarding and fun
Overall a friendly work place with room to progress, individual person centred care to ensure the young person receives the best care possible, facilities to also meet the needs of the young people such as sensory rooms.
Independent living is also a huge factor to help develop the young peoples goals

Working here you feel part of the team straight away, everyone is welcoming and supportive when on shift. The management are very supportive and encouraging
Continuous Support and Training
Oakfields is a fab place to work! I am fortunate to work across different placements and work with each YP. It can be challenging but also very rewarding. Ongoing training to help with understanding and personally develop.
A fun and supportive environment to work in as all staff are friendly, welcoming and approachable. Its great working with a team who all want to succeed in making YPs life the best it can be.
Excellent Company, very rewarding
This job suits my busy home life and its a pleasure to work with wonderful staff and management. Working with the young people is very rewarding.staff go out of there way with supporting each other and everyone works well. I have been at Oakfield a long time and the company just gets better.
